Primary Election - June 18,2024

State and Federal primaries are held on the third Tuesday in June of each year to select the nominees of the major political parties for partisan offices, except candidates for President and Vice President of the United States. VA ST 24.2-515-1

June Primary Election Election's Important Dates:
May 3, 2024 In-Person Absentee voting begins: If you can't vote in person on Election Day, you can vote "absentee in-person" starting as soon as ballots are available - usually between 45 days before Election Day. You can apply for and vote your absentee ballot during the same visit to your Local Election Official.
May 28, 2024 Voter Registration Deadline In Person: Register with your local municipal clerk 22 days before primary election.. Note: Be aware that this date falls on a holiday -Memorial Day, last Monday in May- and may be subject to change.
May 28, 2024 Voter Registration Deadline By Mail, Fax or email attachment: Complete an Application for Voter Registration, Mail your completed application to your local registrar. Note: Be aware that this date falls on a holiday - Memorial Day, last Monday in May - and may be subject to change.
May 28, 2024 Voter Registration Deadline Online: Use the online tool to access your Virginia voter record to update your registration, apply to vote absentee, and view your polling place, election district, absentee ballot status, and voting history. . June 7, 2024 Mailed Absentee Ballot Request: Deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you: June 7, 2024. Your request must be received by your local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m.
June 15, 2024 In-Person Absentee voting ends: In person absentee voting ends at 5 p.m Saturday before an election.
June 18, 2024 Election Day Voter Registration Deadline: Same Day registration is only available: in-person at the general registrar’s office for your locality, at your satellite early voting site during the early voting period, at your precinct on Election Day.

General Election - November 5,2024

November General election is held the Tuesday after the first Monday of the month of November
