Presidential Primary Election - April 2,2024​

A presidential preference primary election will be held for all major political parties. RI ST § 17-12-1-1

Poll Hours: 7:00 AM-8:00 PM

April Presidential Primary Election Election's Important Dates:
March 3, 2024 Voter Registration Deadline In Person: In person registration deadline is 30 days before Election Day. Voters will automatically be registered to vote when they interact with the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Bring the completed form to your local board of canvassers.
March 3, 2024 Voter Registration Deadline By Mail, Fax or email attachment: Your mailed-in voter registration must be postmarked 30 days before Election Day.Mail the completed form to your local board of canvassers.
March 3, 2024 Voter Registration Deadline Online: You can register to vote in Rhode Island ONLINE. Online registration deadline is 30 days before Election Day.
March 12, 2024 Mail Ballot Application Deadline: Last day to request mail ballot application..

Primary Election - September 10,2024​

State and Federal primaries are held on the heighth Tuesday preceeding biennial state elections to select the nominees of the major political parties for partisan offices. RI ST § 17-15-1

November General election is held the Tuesday after the first Monday of the month of November
