How Does Delaware Select Its Electors?

  • The presiding officer and secretary of the state convention or committee of each political party eligible to place candidates on the ballot shall submit certificates of nomination for electors of President and Vice-President of the States together with the name of the candidates for President and Vice-President to the State Election Commissioner.

When Do The Electors Vote?

  • The electors chosen or appointed in the State for the election of a President and Vice-President of the United States shall meet and give their votes at Dover on the day determined by Congress for that purpose. In all cases, the electors chosen or appointed in this State for the election of a President and Vice-President of the United States under this chapter shall be required to cast their individual votes in accordance with the plurality vote of the voters in this State.
