Primary Election - May 12,2026​

Primary elections will be held on the second Tuesday in May for the nomination of Presidential,Congressional,and State candidates to be voted for at the next general election

May Primary Election Election's Important Dates:
April 21, 2026 Voter Registration Deadline By Mail, Fax or email attachment: You can submit a voter registration application to your local board of elections or the State Board of Elections. The mail-in application must be postmarked 21 days before Election Day.
April 21, 2026 Voter Registration Deadline Online: You can use Maryland's Online Voter Registration System (OLVR) to register to vote.
April 30, 2026 Early voting begins: Early Voting Begins on the Second Thursday before a primary or general election Day. .
May 7, 2026 Early voting ends: Early voting ends the Thursday before Election Day. .
May 12, 2026 Election Day Voter Registration Deadline: Qualified individuals may register to vote at the polling place during Early voting period through Election Day. MD Code, Election Law, § 3-305, 3-306. Go to an early voting center in the county where you live during early voting, or go to your assigned election day polling place and bring a document that proves where you live. .

General Election - November 3,2026​

November General election is held the Tuesday after the first Monday of the month of November
